Cultural Development

Empowering people to do it themselves

It is highly unlikely that a great deal of the world's significant environmental and even social issues can be solved without innovative approaches to urban management and living, as well as diverse forms of public involvement in the formulation and execution of policies.

Even the most economically successful cities face a variety of social and environmental challenges as the world's cities become more and more urbanized. We contend that the sharing paradigm, or "problem shared, problem halved," provides a framework and a strong set of insights and approaches that can result in a multitude of opportunities for reinvesting in the public domain and urban commons, ultimately bringing about urban transformation.

Sustainable urban development must include cultural development, and by leveraging technology, education, and information sharing more effectively, we can enable one another to tackle many of the world's most pressing problems.

Investment Opportunity

Community engagement is a prerequisite.

To protect both the environment and humankind, it is obvious that a revolution in urban problem solving is required. National governments, business, and society need to form new alliances and adopt new strategies for urban planning and management. A community engagement platform can take this revolution forward by empowering volunteers to get more involved in the community and find solutions together.

New opportunities to enhance trust and rebuild social capital

Our strategy for building climate investment capacity is focused on finding locally driven, context-specific, cooperative answers to challenging issues that are more sustainable and flexible.

Global solutions are needed for all these problems, be they environmental, human rights, poverty, population increase, or women's status. It is crucial that they are at the forefront of an expanding global effort to make our communities productive, safe, healthy, more equitable, and sustainable, which is why they have emerged as a top concern for the international community. With the help of modern communication technologies, wider citizens involvement can be incorporated into strategic decision-making and the community at large.
